Yahoo and the Weather Channel posted this as a Severe Weather Alert. Okay, I get the mountain climbing thing here, but thank God they warned us about the "breezy" conditions out at the coast... A closer look reveals that the National Weather Service issued this statement as a "Special Weather Statement." That makes more sense.
From the National Weather Service...

...TURNING WET AND COOLER OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS IN SOUTHWEST
WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST OREGON..
THE CHANGE TO A COOLER AND WETTER WEATHER PATTERN WILL CONTINUE
THROUGH MUCH OF THE COMING WEEK AS A SERIES OF PROGRESSIVELY
STRONGER PACIFIC WEATHER SYSTEMS AFFECTS THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST.
THIS WILL BRING MORE CLOUDS...RAIN AND COOL TEMPERATURES TO THE
REGION.
A STRONG EARLY FALL WEATHER SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE COAST LATE
TODAY AND MOVE THROUGH SOUTHWEST WASHINGTON AND NORTHWEST OREGON
TONIGHT AND MONDAY. ANOTHER STRONGER FRONT WILL MOVE THROUGH TUESDAY
NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.
LOOK FOR RAIN...WITH BREEZY CONDITIONS AT TIMES NEAR THE COAST...AND
TEMPERATURES BELOW SEASONAL NORMALS. SNOW LEVELS IN THE CASCADES
WILL INITIALLY BE AROUND 8000 FEET...BUT LIKELY FALL TO BETWEEN 5000
AND 6000 FEET IN THE CASCADES WEDNESDAY.
THE DOWNTURN IN THE WEATHER WILL GREATLY AFFECT THOSE WITH OUTDOOR
ACTIVITIES PLANNED...AS WELL AS MAKE CLIMBING MOUNTAIN PEAKS IN
THE AREA VERY DANGEROUS.
BE SURE TO LISTEN TO YOUR FAVORITE WEATHER NEWS SOURCE OR THE
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FOR THE LATEST UPDATES TO THIS DOWNTURN IN
THE WEATHER THIS WEEK.
