Social Media Comparison Charts

Not sure if these are useful or just a scam...  No time to figure it out now.  Be warned, the site seems a little hickey.  Something I plan on taking a closer look at later...

My collections are being featured on Snip.it!

Love new services... Signed up at seven this morning.  Two of my collections are already being featured.  Nice.  Now let's see if this service that no one has heard of yet has any legs.

The sad thing is that I really haven't added anything yet.  But  I will be, for awhile, at least until I decide whether or not there is value in adding this extra step to my intarweb wanderings.

Emails from them nice folks over there, God bless them:
Hi Aaron,

Congratulations! We loved your collection Democracy In Distress - Occupy Movement so much, we've decided to showcase it in the US Politics featured section on Snip.it

What does this mean? Anytime you add a new snip to this collection, it will automatically be featured for the rest of the Snip.it community to see. You’ll probably get some new subscribers too!

Snip.it Lets You Collect and Share Web Content That Matters to You [INVITES]

This could be very cool. I was just saying that this was one of the reasons why I fired up my blogs... Will this service supplement them, or replace them?

Well, more links to add into my profile... Sidebar, sure.  This might even make the header.

Snip.it Lets You Collect and Share Web Content That Matters to You [INVITES]:
If you want to collect and share web content, and express your opinion in a structured fashion, where would you turn?
Certainly not Facebook or Twitter, says Ramy Adeeb, founder of Snip.it, a startup launching this week in private beta to help you collect web content you want to save with your voice.
Adeeb, formerly a principal at Khosla Ventures, founded Snip.it as a place where people can create collections. They’re comprised of content and opinions — appropriately termed “snips” — and they can be saved privately, or shared with friends and strangers.
Snip.it users clip content as they browse the web, just as they would do using any other bookmarklet, add a little commentary of their own and then plop their digital discoveries into collections.
You can think of collections as elegantly styled, topic-themed buckets for storing the web content that relates to your interests. And you can use your collections for personal reference or as curation tools to publicly demonstrate your expertise and subject-matter knowledge.

9 Ways Top Brands Use Social Media for Better Customer Service

9 Ways Top Brands Use Social Media for Better Customer Service:

Oct. 27 was the first day of the Social Media for Customer Care Summit in New York, a gathering of some of the largest brands in the world focused on how social service can be leveraged more effectively. Nearly every brand was struggling with the same three big questions, which became discussion topics and hashtags in their own right:

How can customer care better integrate with other functions across a company, like marketing? #integration

How can an organization take the efforts of one or two pioneering individuals and employ it brand-wide? #scaling

How can social media be used to mitigate negative posts or a brand crisis? #crisis

Throughout the day, there were many strong ideas and lessons offered on these topic. Here are just a few of the highlights.
